What was the
inspiration for this series?
I
was writing my ancestors’ intriguing histories so my children could appreciate
their heritage and decided they needed to become a series. My fictional characters came alive through “inheriting” incidents from those courageous men and women
Melinda and the Wild
West
(Book 1): Schoolteacher Melinda has many challenges
but a rugged rancher confronts her with the one thing for which she is least
prepared—love.
Edith and the
Mysterious Stranger
(Book 2): When a mysterious stranger starts writing
to nurse Edith, she gets to know his soul before making harsh judgments. Yet she can't help asking herself: "Can he
be as wonderful in person as he is in his letters?"
Jenny’s Dream (Book 3): An unpleasant childhood memory haunts aspiring author
Jenny. She must learn to forgive before following her dream to success and happiness.
Sarah’s Special Gift (Book 4): Beautiful, successful
dance teacher Sarah is deaf, but she does not allow it to stop her from living life to its
fullest. Or falling in love with a man who needs her help.
Elena, Woman of Courage (Book 5): During the
Roaring Twenties, Elena raises her hemlines and bobs her hair. Although she fights
prejudice as the town’s first female doctor, the most eligible bachelor, who determines to win her heart.
Are your books in
audiobook form?
Yes,
with Audible. Narrator Carolyn Kashner actually sings in Edith and the Mysterious Stranger. (She has such a lovely voice.)
Who is the most
intriguing character in this series?
Elena Woman of Courage faces prejudice from the town bully who feels
that women have no right to practice medicine. She courageously bobs her hair
and raises her hemlines/ This intrigues the
town’s most eligible bachelor, who admires her tenacity.

I love the courage and human spirit typically found in historical characters. I also love knowing there will be no cell phones, computers, facebook, or texting anywhere in the book! I really enjoy listening to someone reading the story to me on audiobook like old time radio shows. And I love the covers on Linda's books.
Hello Renee. Thanks for your comment. I totally agree with you.
Thanks, both of you. Yes, it is great to be able to return to a different era. And the covers are spectacular!
Hi Renee. I'll be sending you a coupon code for the first 3 books in this series to listen to. Thanks for your interest.
Thanks so much, Linda! I can't wait to hear these!:)
